Special Sauce
We sure have been getting several comments about the longevity of
the flowers that come from ‘ What About the Flowers?’. I have
decided it was time to let you in our little secret. When a customer comes
in the store and purchases flowers or we deliver a
bouquet to you, we make sure you have a packet of ‘aqua plus’.
When mixing in a separate container, go ahead and dilute it just a little.
I have experienced that it is a little strong for the flowers and tends
to burn them if you follow the directions exact. Never pour out the water
that is in your arrangement, just keep the vase full of your solution.
So there you have it. Aqua Plus is our “Special Sauce”. I
guess there are a few other secrets as to why our flowers last so long
but we like to keep you guessing!!
Notes from Stephanie and Lucy
We did some research and came up with the following five reasons to buy
locally.
1. Shopping local saves you money. Travel expenses and delivery costs
makes the overall cost of the items more.
2. Local independent shops invest more in our community. Local businesses support local charities, schools and community events which financially impact our community.
3. Local shops value you more. These businesses survive by their reputation and repeat business, which means you get a better standard of service.
4. Shopping local creates jobs. The jobs created allow spending in the local economy and help create more jobs.
5. Shopping local retains our community. Without the support of shopping in the local community, restaurants and services are forced to close.
We truly do appreciate all of our great customers and all the support you have given to ‘What About the Flowers?’ We look forward to servicing all your floral needs in the future!
